Lifestyle Medicine is about adding value to our base.

When playing with my lifestyle time, health & resources, do I choose to be enlightened, ignorant or stupid?
My 21st Century Lifestyle is killing me!
I did not come with a book of instructions.
I have built my self this way!
Right now is my current survival reality of my lived experience.
I have used enlightenment, ignorance & stupidity to reach this build of my life.
Unfortunately I have often gotten the basics wrong.
This has caused me to incorporate far too many ills & faults into my basic design.
Design faults prove fatal and much of me has perished.
The critercism of identifying the way I kill myself by others, may seem easy,
It is extremely difficult to fix stupid by myself!

Therefore I need to question my lifestyle actions:
- Do I over-consume before going to bed?
- Do I sleep more or less than I require?
- Do I find it difficult to get up in the morning?
- Do I engage in risky behaviour?
- Do I ignore what is best for me?
- Do I smoke?
- Do I drink sugary drinks, especially alcohol?
- Do I add or consume processed sugar to my diet?
- Do I consume enough fibre into my diet?
- Do I consume nutritionally poor food?
- Do I consume too much salt in my diet?
- Do I ignore any problems I have?
- Do I look after myself first, or not?
These are easy questions to identify that I am killing myself by my wants.
There are many more I could ask, but I'm sure you get the idea.
Because something is common practice, does NOT make it right!
Smoking has neither purpose, nor value in our body!
Replacing expended energy with processed sugar, alcohol or energy dense, low fibre foods has the majority of nutritional value lost and stolen from me. I breach my essential "terms of engagement", making it impossible to regulate or protect myself!
My stupidity creates a far lesser version of my self! Society lives in a world of "Sodom and Gomorrah!"
We can no longer distinguish the difference between right or wrong from normal. The old definitions of decadence and debauchery have adapted and progressed, with the new age temptations everywhere in our surrounds.
These are the ills of society and the reality in which I am consumed in!
These ills consist of many things like poor sleep, poor diet, eating limited dietary fibre for immunity, preservation and protection, consuming processed and refined nutritionally void sugar & hyperprocessed sugar as alcohol, smoking, unnecessary medication, excessive energy consumption, decreasing incidental activity limited to negligible activity levels or inefficiencies with much wasted survival energy and the list goes on & on & on.
My lifestyle will kill off much of my future freedoms by playing in this world.
I am not and cannot be the fitness for a future I would have easily survived in, if I have prepared inappropriately for it.
SELFCARE IS FIRST TO BE TRUE TO MY SELF; BUT INSTEAD I LIE.
My lifestyle survival is totally dependant on my IFPEN fitness levels. My choices are constantly being applied to my unique environment, community and circumstances!
I currently survive at the fitness level, that I live myself at!
In a world of surviving in my specific environment and exposure to my unique community of learning, why do I target a fitness level that causes the different parts of me to fail & perish!
Why do I play the wrong rules of my game?
WE EACH CREATE OUR OWN WORLD TO SURVIVE IN!
