In considering which real value I add to my time, health & resources:

Who, What, Where, When, Why, How, How much of my time, health & resources are well selfcare for me?
Who am I to be?
What am I to be?
Where am I to be?
When am I to be?
Why am I to be?
How am I to be?
How much am I to be?
Do I believe me?
Do I believe IN me?
Will I stop killing me today?

Every thought, word, deed, practice, routine, habit impacts on my time, health & resources in determining my time, health, wellness and worth.
The biggest problem about doing the right thing is that we need to know what the right thing is before we do it & in the absence of the right thing we will do anything. Selfcare is a constant learning process by getting it wrong until we learn what is right. This presents the next challenge of changing again, this time for the better. Some people never learn and others refuse to change. This is the world of Selfcare Medicine. In Selfcare Medicine, your time, health & resources are all up to you. A very sobering thought!
My Mother always said:

"If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing well!"

Selfcare Medicine is definitely worth doing well.
I MUST MEET MY NEEDS!

ONLY I CAN MEET MY NEEDS WELL!

My Selfcare message I send is of "Being Me"

If I am the one project I spend every moment of my life working well on, then I should feel very good about myself.
I MUST BE THE CHANGE I WISH & WANT TO BE IN MY WORLD!
"I cannot live with negativity and expect a positive Life"
In my journey throughout my life, only I have the capacity to choose the combination of my selfcare needs of my time, health & resources with my "attitude" to meet every one of those needs. Everything needs its' needs!
In my contemplation and considerations of this base need has made me realize that "Even a boulder needs a place to rest!"

My basic DNA needs must be met prior to succeeding in my selfbeing.
The basic need of my selfbeing is MY ATTITUDE TO ME! Attitude is both the driver and key to my activity and development.
I use my Individual First Principle Evolutionary Needs (IFPEN) every day.In using my selfbeing IFPEN of ATTITUDE, is my selfbeing choosing:care, apathy, ignorance, abuse, &/or destruction of myself.
My attitude is the only thing I have control of.This means everything I choose today, will portrait everything along my journey and this path I have and will uniquely travel.
I AM "Master of My Universe" I must choose whether I apply my attitude to perform this role as a "Beneficial Dictator", "All Conquering War Lord", wallow in my own self-pity or something in between.
Some cultures translate the word God as "I am". We may even consider ourself as being God of our entire being, as is everybody else in their instance.
The repercussions within my Universe will be totally different dependant on the "ME" choices that I make.
Do I give myself permission to care for my selfbeing me, well or poorly?
Who exactly am I: "Tinker, tailor, soldier sailor, mother, father, sibling, child.
These labels don't define who I am!
I am "Master of my Universe" with responsibility and accountability to EVERYTHING within my skin.
With this attitude though, I can do anything; without this attitude, I absolve my self to do nothing. The issue is that many, many of my decisions are wrong and often I am unaware of this result.What message am I sending to others about me?I need my needs and the rest are merely wants and waste.
I live amongst humans in the 21st century. As a specie, we are evolving into this particular window of history and I find it extremely intense and far reaching. To evolve takes possibly a hundred generations; therefore I can only adapt to mine.
The message I send of myself has become extremely difficult to determine, with so many people offering advice.
When cigarettes were sold via public advertising, the product was rarely discussed; it was mainly promoted towards the possibility of the image you would gain. Did people live that image; probably initially, if they adopted the advertised image they did. If they embraced the attitude they most certainly felt like they had. Was the product a basic need; of course not! We had not met our basic air need and ineviatively suffer the consequences.
The message we send of ourself, in conjunction with the attitude presented, will be our lifestyle.
My attitude is reflected in my choices towards me and plays into how I pursue my needs. With the massive number of choices to make, and seeming so far removed from my evolutionary needs, these are more important to me, than any other time I can remember.
Finding ways to replenish my depleted primary $1 worth of components is such a hard choice. I need the attitude to make it work; unfortunately I am ignorant of my needs on so many levels.
My approach is: "When in doubt, go back to the basics" and once right, I gain the capacity to build on it.
During the 65+ years of my lived history Our population life has expanded to operating across the total day and night, with huge regions of the world developing and progressing in their's.
Most continuing situations have been adapted to; attitudes having changed my environment, but my selfbeing is ever conscious of the evolutionary basic needs also having been ignored.
Inroads have been made into both space and ocean exploration, yet evolution has not prepared my body for these challenges.
Selfbeing is about me in this continual adaption process, in order that I control & feel comfortable in "my own skin". My "skin" consisting of my genetics, embeded with my experiences, driven by my attitude.
I actually can't control anybody else's "skin" or attitude; I don't live in there!
Primarily I need ensure I keep in balance my specific requirements of air, sunlight, water, ingested fibre, multivitamins, minerals, energy transfers, resource warehousing, sleep, sex & reproduction, shelter, protection, safety, engagement on micro, macro & geo levels, regulation of systems, movement & activity; whilst being able to negotiate my way through each and every situation or environment my self may encounter during my journey in my lifetime.
My attitude creates this lifestyle.
Next I must coordinate and consolidate each and every basic primary need into an ever adapting world.
The basics of Selfbeing are founded on my successes of getting my basic individual first principle evolutionary needs "right", to ensure my balance and wellness across my entire being.
In considering and addressing my wellbeing foundations of this time, I need meet: mental health, signature strengths, mindfulness, savouring successes, gratitude, random acts of kindness and laughter requirements.
I meet the needs of my self being in the manner I choose.
Why?Now we are ready to consider this most confusing area of selfbeing, so let us consider the past environment and situations each have evolved from and into our current position.
Self attitude is our own best self-care.
To illustrate this, I refer to someone considered "The Great Baird":
Ahh Shakespeare! All those years ago when you wrote of Prince Hamlet contemplating his death, or worse, his journey thus far and whether this was the moment of reaching his final destination.
Hamlet considered the results that had, are and may to be, or not to be. His moment of self-awareness had him question every aspect of the choices he had made impacting his very self being, the life and the lifestyle he had created.
By taking a leaf out of Hamlet's self-awareness moment, we learn self-responsibility; to be accountable for our own actions.
This version of self that realise our being "to be or not to be" as the lifestyle we have decided upon; the basic foundations we have base ourself upon; the "to be" we have chosen and the "not to be" we have also chosen.
The realisation that "If it is to be, it is up to me!
Please let me explain our individual selfbeing ethos "To be or not to be" is being Fit to Survive! This is "up to me" and the reasons for The Natural Alternative being concerned with "Getting my basic needs right first".
Selfbeing is to survive, adapt or perish and this includes our wellbeing. Concentration on our individual "selfbeing" ensures we reach:
"Master of My own Universe Status!"
Whatever I do is my decision and my decision alone! I determine for my entity if it be right or just as I like.
"To Be or Not To Be: that really is the Question!" Self-awareness has us look into our own mental mirror and ask:
Who am I? Who do others see me as?What have I become? What path will I choose to journey into the future?Where did I come from & where do I want to take myself?When did I change into this being and when will I choose to change into something elseWhen have I not behaved as I should and chosen incorrectly?When will I choose in remaining true to myself?Why have I become this version? Why will I become different?How did I make these choices to do this to myself?How will I create improved choices for myself?How much of this very being and the lifestyle I had created could he contemplate in causing this result of my choices & actions?How much will I “be or not be”?
I Am To Be or Not To Be!
It would seem we are asking ourself about our primary innate, basic purpose in our own individual life; what path has our life journeyed to become and may adapt to become.
We question our very selfbeing, self-care and existence.
Self-care is the medicine we treat ourself with.
Consider each of us is a Universe in our own right. Gozillians of cells, microbes, bacteria, viruses, animal, vegetable minerals working within the one closed system worth $1 and only I am in total control of My exquisite system being Fit to Survive! We utilise this system in making millions of choices each & every day, towards creating our own unique lifestyle. We should concentrate on the oneness of our universe before we can consider the wellness or illness. It is a system with implications in other components for each decision we make. A universe is defined as: All existing matter and space considered as a whole; A particular sphere of activity or experience; everything we can touch, feel, sense, measure or detect. This is exactly our "self" being! Mental Health and Wellbeing are intricately linked. These secondary evolutionary needs, need to be addressed!
